My names are Apio Hellen Beatrice, a plant scientist and teacher by training.  I hold a Master's degree in crop science (Biotechnology), Postgraduate diploma in Education (Biology and Chemistry),  Bachelor's degree in science (Botany and Chemistry). Taught biology and chemistry for three years. I have worked and continue to work in the field of plant biotechnology with focus on plant tissue culture , genetic transformations, molecular biology and mutagenesis. I train students from secondary, tertiary institutions, universities and graduate programmes on plant biotechnology.
