About me
As a Bioinformatics and Data Science Research Scientist, I am at the intersection of Genomics and data-driven solutions for global public health. Currently pursuing a PhD through the Makerere University Data Science Research Training Program (MakDARTA). My work is focused on leveraging health data analysis, and AI-driven insights to address public health challenges; my PhD has a particular focus on HIV treatment outcomes. My training experiences include being a Visiting Scholar at the University of California San Francisco's Institute for Global Health Sciences.
Driven by the possibilities of Africa's data revolution, I am deeply engaged in using machine learning and artificial intelligence to solve public health challenges, particularly in resource-limited settings. My research contributions include health data analysis, authoring and co-authoring several scientific publications that aim to push the boundaries of genomics and data science in the fight against infectious diseases. Profoundly, I am passionate about mentoring and inspiring others along career and lifestyle.
