About me
Paskari is currently working as a Part-Time Teaching Assistant in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Makerere University. By academic qualification, I hold Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, and a Master’s Degree in Sociology all from Makerere University, Kampala. I am also currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Anthropology (Medical) from Makerere University. Since 2012, after joining undergraduate studies; I have worked with over six organizations and institutions in the positions of a Part-Time Teaching Assistant, Team Leader, Sociologist, Director, Programme Manager, Deputy Patron, and Research Assistant. For those 9 years, the research projects and programs undertaken include; environmental and social impact assessment studies, needs assessment, baseline assessment, feasibility study, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring & evaluation. These studies were conducted in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, education, HIV/AIDS, savings and investment, water, and sanitation. In all those projects, I used both qualitative and quantitative methods including activities such as; designing research instruments, recruiting and training research assistants, piloting research instruments, implementing fieldwork (survey, focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, observations), data analysis (coding, editing), and report production.
