About me
Oscar Moses Nkengi, is a Doctoral Fellow, an Advocate of the High Court and courts subordinate thereto (with over 15 years of practising experience), an oil & gas law seasonal tutor and a climate/Environmental enthusiast. My doctoral research is titled: "Climate Change and ‘Rights-Based Climate Litigation’ in Uganda. A Critical Inquiry.” It mainly seeks to unpack the use of climate litigation to enhance climate action. In this study, the term climate action reflects SDG 13 in consonance with the 2015 Paris Agreement and the core international Human rights legal instruments of the UDHR, ICESCR & ICCPR. Overall, my research, doctrinal in nature: is anchored on the human rights-based approach through the lens of the human right to a clean and healthy environment.
